LaCrosse Public Library Show

Last week I did a show outside of my normal performing area when I went to LaCrosse Indiana to perform at the LaCrosse Public Library.

LaCrosse is a small farming town whose library is within view of the town's grain elevator. Situated near the railroad tracks and built somewhat in the style of an old-style train depot, perhaps the library stands in the spot where the town's original train depot once stood.

Inside, I found a large and receptive audience of children and their parents. Kids came from all around to see the magic show and have some fun, and I did my best not to disappoint.

In my magic show, I use lots of audience volunteers because it makes the show more fun and interactive for the children, and this was the case with my show at the LaCrosse Public Library.

Magic Class In Dyer, Indiana

During the month of February, I had the pleasure of teaching a “secrets of magic" class at the Dyer Town Hall in Dyer, Indiana. My goal was to teach youngsters how to be a magician over a period of four weeks doing tricks with ordinary household objects such as coins, cards, rope and more. No prior knowledge of magic was required.

The class had several students from the Dyer, Indiana area. There were six students in the class altogether. we were pleased that the students also included one young lady. She enjoyed the class so much that she invited her sister to later classes!

I taught the kids a number of magic effects that, while easy to perform, were quite mystifying in effect. In fact, some of the magic tricks I taught were quite similar to those performed by professional magicians.
